Director

Since his early teens Levi Kaminkowitz was passionate to pursue a life in filmmaking. “I always enjoyed movies, but at a certain point I became more and more critical of the ones I saw. I started watching foreign films, classics, and independent films and I was compelled to be a filmmaker.”

Levi has worked in the film industry since 2007. In 2008 he graduated from The Los Angeles Film School, majoring in Directing, Screenwriting, and Cinematography. Levi’s thesis film “The Deadbeat” has gone on to receive Best Narrative Film at Reynolda Film Festival 2010, a Golden Ace Award at Las Vegas Film Festival 2010, and has been the official selection at 13 film festivals.

Some of the directors Levi admires are the Coen Brothers, Charlie Chaplin, Vittorio De Sica, Francois Truffaut, Paul Thomas Anderson, Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Roman Polanski, Quentin Tarantino, and Stanley Kubrick.
